We didn’t abandon India. We were enslaved! We were taken against our will! Need I say, had we stayed we would’ve still been at the bottom of the caste system. In some ways our ancestors had to choose between two evils because even when they returned to India after slavery we weren’t accepted. I love Guyana and I don’t need acceptance from anyone.
The younger generation of guyanaese definitely identifies with Guyana. Idk why the older generation always says that the younger generation doesn’t identify with Guyana but we certainly do. The older generation can come off as very insecure with this kind of thinking. What the younger generation is doing is taking western values that are appropriate and rightfully so incorporating them into guyanaese culture. For example, the younger generation tends to not be racist, less homophobic, we drink less (sometimes), we engage in was less adultery, way less domestic violence, was less sexual violence, we are more secular (non religious), less colorism, and we don’t hit our kids. These are all improvements to our rich culture. We maintain our language, food, dancing, and music along with these additive improvements. The older generation believes in religion over everything, being racist, being colorist, and of course hitting their kids. What the older generation sees as “American” isn’t necessarily America. We are making improvements to cultural issues: drinking, domestic violence, organized religion, and more. Again what they see as us leaving our culture is use actually improving it. We maintain the food, the language, the music, and the dancing and improve on everything else. The older generation just holds us back with this thinking. Our identity is complex as it just. The old people just need to learn to be some supportive.
Ngl the Indians treated us just as cruel the British. How you gonna stop claiming us because we were enslaved and left the bitch ass caste system ?

Maybe all the mass that goes into a black hole gets converted to energy or dark energy.
Here is my favorite formula: Very intelligent scientist plus very attractive woman = Janna Levin. The proof is obvious. Perfect.
She’s my hero.
How do I contact Arua Rice. Is Marc Morial a criminal. Why is Urban league not answering phone in New York. Why is Pedophile and child sodomizer Bill Gates the Biggest donor to Urban League?
Urban League in Las Vegas hasn't paid their caregivers and day programs for children in 2 months. The day care agencies are taking out loans to pay their employees. The employees at Urban League are paid off to keep their mouths shut and to make up requirements for caregivers that no one could accomplish....they lie, all of them.
I am a CASA, Court Appointed Special Assistant and personally took care of 2 children for 4 months. The 13 month old came right from the hospital with casts on both arms, and the 3 year old sexually abused, supposedly by newest boyfriend 😢
Ladies, you need to expose Marc Morial for his criminal activities NOW.

Italians who accept roles that portray us as criminals and gangsters are not doing us any good. They are sustaining the negative images. No other racial or ethnic group would support it.
So impressive!

Dominic Carter is a good man. He is a gentleman.
What a great interview!😮
I appreciate this moderator’s ability to remain on topic and the Senator’s ability to answer the questions without becoming emotional. It appears that the Councilmember seems unable to separate from her personal investment in Israel, rather than answering questions presented. She’s too repetitive on non factual issues.
I don't believe in homosextuality. In the Bible it says it's a sin. I am entitled to my opinion also.
The SLTribune in Utah is a 501C3. So, it does work and the quality of the reporting shows. Paul Huntsman bought it and converted from a for profit enterprise into a nonprofit. It is totally doable.
Agree: Murdoch is a villain of our times.
Kathleen Hall Jamieson at the University of Pennsylvania created a Fact Checker Box. They are very useful. They work well on TV.

Por qué me molesta tanto la presencia de esta Mujer en la entrevista? No lo sé
I've watched "His Girl Friday" several times and yet I've learned a lot about this classic film from them. One of the characters is gay? --
This tribalism is alive and well in 2024 on every level.
American History starts to make sense when you understand White Supremacy and overlay it on American 🇺🇸 History.
Unless you are dismantling White Supremacy directly, you are just agreeing to play ‘Whack-A-Mole.’
I grew up in Inwood 74-92. My Irish grandparents moved to Inwood in 1940. Then the 70s came around, a new wave of immigrants moved in and destroyed the area. Inwood will never be the same again. We were forced to move out after me, my sister and her friend were robbed and raped at gun and knife point in our Isham St. apartment. 2 illegals from the DR followed her friend to our building and pushed their way in. That was the last straw and many of the old time residents couldn't get out quick enough.
What a fantastic story about people who saved the RCM Hall.
This gets me through.
Good morning, am happy to see and hear this. Black people are the best care gives.
Back in the day I found Michael Riedel annoying, but now re-watching Theater Talk episodes, I find him negative and insufferable especially watching with the benefit of hindsight.
The book is amazing
This was terrific!
If only anyone knew how to add stuff to the "Hub" ... most campuses have no idea how to add their events to that calendar on the Hub and there are instances that are not at the level of reportable and hate speech and are things like mixing pronouns and being dismissive about it.
I am a professional Man that has ancestral lineage to tribes on this land; the condition being spoke of is one of injustice, not 'racism'. The entire 'human-race' is experiencing a system of injustice, which should be argued as a human rights issue and not a 'race' issue. I argue that failure to address violations of 'human rights' created by this system of injustice allows for misidentifications like racism. Subsequently, no remedy can be presented unless the rights of the people are fully disclosed-claims of injury based on 'race' are difficult to prove in exposing human rights violations.
One of my favourite people ever! I grew up watching and loving his movies so much. Such an erudite, charming, intelligent gentleman.
